Our group of 32 spent 3 nights at the French Broad Outpost Ranch last month (5/2010) and we had a blast!  We ran in age from 1 year to 79 years old.  Everyone loved it and believe me that we slept good at night.  Our days were so full that no one missed TV or video games.  The horses were wonderful and the orientation made everyone comfortable to groom and saddle their own horse.  We loved the rides and the scenery.  The white water rafting was a hit too.  The FOOD was DELICIOUS!!!  Please publish a recipe book, because we all want one.
And above all, the personel at the ranch were so helpful and kind.  A special thank you to Kyle, Mayan and Shawn!  There will be families from our group returning.  What a different, delightful adventure.

We are rustling up more than just good food and cattle here at our Dude Ranch in our all inclusive "American Plan" package. Whether you are into horseback riding, whitewater rafting, cattle driving, team penning, sitting back and enjoying the Smoky Mountains with a live bluegrass band, or taking a swim in the pool, we have the family vacation for you.

Our Dude Ranch is just like most of the Dude Ranch's you'll find out west, we are just closer to the east. Our old western town look gives you the feel of being in the old west. Our horse program is a hands on experience too, because you get to learn how to groom and saddle your ranch horse that you get for the week. We just don't hand you a horse to ride like most ranches, it's more like you brought your own. Horse lovers heaven is what we like to call it!

We are happy to provide all Arabians for your riding enjoyment. Our horses are part of our family and live here at the ranch year round, so you can ride the same one each year. You'll enjoy the time you get to spend with your "ranch" horse all week long! You also get to save the flight money for other things. We are 4 hours from Atlanta, Nashville & Charlotte, 5 hours from Cincinnati, and 8 hours from Washington D.C., all within a days driving distance. Our trail views are some of the best you'll ever experience!
